We bought both new in 2003 and it's a great rig that allows you drive your RV year round. The gas mileage is 11.2 miles per gallon from Michigan to Alaska with the camper loaded, unloaded 13 around town and 15 highway. In addition to the truck specs on the attached sheet I added Firestone airbags, Rancho 9000x adjustable shocks, Hellweg rear torsion bars, front Reese hitch for bikes, chrome tube running boards, and a Line X sprayed on bed liner. All schedule service was done at factory intervals and new tires were put on last fall.
The Lance has a new roof air conditioner last summer. We did Alaska in 2004 and it's great for the long trips as well as parking for a week. It's in good shape except for a cosmetic dent on the right front (hit a low branch on the Outer Banks) and one aft of the right hand window - see pictures of both. There are no leaks or water damage. I recently did a Proflex caulk touch up. Check out the floor plan at the Lance web site at http://www.lancecamper.com/2008models/845.html. Option highlights are; extended cabover, microwave, gas or AC refrigerator, rear awning, two 10 lb LP tanks with automatic switch over, Yakima roof rack, and a side slot for a side awning. The electric jacks with remote make loading or unloading a 15 minute job. I'm 6'5" and the Lance is exceptionally roomy. With the shocks, airbags, electric extending mirrors, the truck handles and rides great with the camper on. When my wife drives, I fall asleep. I also have a four foot hitch extension for easy trailering.
You can buy both for $25,000.00. I've got a clean title on the truck and the camper is considered cargo - no registration or tax. I will not sell just the truck. Check NADA and you'll see they're priced below book. Email me at garyvv@ameritech.net or call my cell at 616 291 5377 with your questions, an offer, or to arrange to see them.
